Leigh is a Two-Time Emmy-Award winning journalist, speaker, and business owner. Originally from Northeast Ohio, she graduated from Ohio University in 2003 with honors, and started working as a general assignment reporter in September of that year at the NBC affiliate in Madison, Wisconsin.  Within a few years she had ascended to the main anchor position.  Leigh has won numerous awards for her work, including multiple honors from the Associated Press and the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.  Her proudest TV moments came with an Emmy Award and a National Edward R. Murrow Award for a story about a local woman who survived an attempted murder, and went on to forgive her attackers, even to the point of regularly visiting them in prison.

Leigh has a long history of working with non-profits, including NAMI, The Dane County Boys and Girls Club, AIDS Network, The National MS Society, The Clean Lakes Alliance, Madison Ballet, and Domestic Abuse Intervention Services.
